I always sit at the back. I don’t know….maybe I’m the only cowboy pastor’s wife that does that. I like the view.
I learn lessons in the back.
This week, my lesson….an older couple who have come for quite some time. She has a lost look In her eyes, the same look my mom had. Alzheimer’s. She’s not sure where to go. She sits beside me and feels comforted, maybe she remembers me, maybe not. A few minutes later, her husband takes her hand and leads her.
I am reminded of what marriage looks like. I am taken up in loves true call. Sacrifice…and then in my gaze at this couple, I notice the back ground.
